This 'Harry Potter'-themed classroom has us wanting to be in third grade again

Mashable - Social Media Marketing tips - Wed, 08/29/2018 - 14:53

You'll never actually attend Hogwarts, so this might be the next best option.

Third grade teacher Tressa Bargella has fully transformed her classroom into an homage to the Harry Potter series.

SEE ALSO: PSA: You can get Harry Potter ebooks. For free!

The teacher created an Instagram account to document the making of her Potter-fied classroom. And truth be told I am incredibly jealous of these third graders. The room is filled with references to the outrageously popular books, like the Mirror of Erised, potions, and Quidditch goals posts.

Acer Predator Triton 900 is a 2-in-1 gaming laptop, which is as crazy as it sounds

Mashable - Social Media Marketing tips - Wed, 08/29/2018 - 14:51

Have you ever pined for a big, bulky gaming laptop that lets you turn the screen away from you? At its press conference in Berlin ahead of the IFA trade show, Acer launched one such machine and called it the Predator Triton 900.

The Triton 900's screen is a 4K, Nvidia G-Sync enabled touchscreen fixed on a hinge and can be brought a bit closer to you for a more immersive experience. You can also fully flip it away from you, which Acer calls the "display mode."

It's unclear how the Triton 900 would perform as a tablet — it looks possible, but it would probably be a bit too bulky and heavy for some use cases.  Read more...

Although the concept is not new, its recent applications gave rise to a massive digital revolution. Think self-driving cars, Netflix's recommendation engine, Uber's arrival and pick-up estimations, and Spotify's Discover Weekly playlists. Without machine learning, all these things would not exist.
